The car whines when started. I am told that the transmission should be replaced at the cost of $7,500.00 even though there is a class action suit for the cvt transmission in the jx35. Infiniti issued an extension to the cvt transmissions but only to certain vin numbers.

I really need help. I can not afford to replace this transmission when there is knowledge of problems with the cvt transmission in the infiniti jx35.

Please, help me.

The transmission was installed in February 2020 to replace the original transmission which had failed. It makes a loud knocking sound. I had a mechanic look at it today and he said it was where the differential comes into the transmission.
