Driver's side heated seat broken. Paid $200 to diagnose - was told the harness and control box needed to be replaced, would fix the heated seat. Quote to repair - $1300. I specifically asked if this would fix the heated seat. Was told yes.

I proceeded with the repair, heated seat not fixed. Was then told the blower was broken and needed repair at the cost of another $800 for the part alone. I asked if this would fix the problem - they said 'not necessarily' (!)

Asked for refund - I would not have authorized a repair without a guarantee cost and guarantee fix.

Denied - am now filing a complaint with BC tribunal. Considering small claims as this is not the first time this has happened with this car and this dealer.

I would imagine that there are others out there with similar experiences.

Also - FYI my motor failed ('metal in the motor') on this same vehicle prior to warranty expiring (car 4.5 years old) Dealer and Infiniti Canada would not honour warranty as I was a few days late with my oil changes. Had to replace entire motor. Consulted a lawyer - apparently Infiniti warranty small print facilitates voiding of warranty if you aren't on time with your maintenance. Would love to hear from others who have experienced this. I have owned many cars - mostly Audi - and would never recommend an Infiniti. These are poor quality vehicles and the company does not stand by their product
