My daughter at my insistence purchased a new 2019 Infinity QX80. The car now has approximately 14,000 miles on it and the engine has a rod knock. Vehicle was always serviced on time by the dealer. There is a known engine oiling problem to the number 7 and number 8 cylinders on the 5.6 engine but they sell them anyway. My nephew bought the same model Infinity 5 months after we did and has 27,000 miles on his and it too has also developed a rod knock. Infiniti's answer is to replace short block only and not address the root cause of the problem the oil to the heads although they have a repair for it. They also refuse to restart the engine warranty even though it blew up due their design flaw. I would never purchase another infinity and strongly recommend you think (3) times before you purchase one.
