On July 22, 2010, I purchased a 2002 Isuzu Axiom for my pregnant daughter, from alam, the owner and operator of a cars 4-U, located on 3503 hillcroft street suite B, houston, Texas 77057. Upon the purchase, alam, the owner and operator of a cars 4-U urged me to purchase a penn warranty, but I could not, so he purchased it. A couple of days later, I began experiencing steering problems, shifting gears, air conditioning problems, automatic door and window problems etc. He told me to have my daughter bring it in but, she refused to because he was always harassing her asking her to go out to lunch with him, so I took it back to him and he said, "that's why I told you to purchase a warranty". two hours later, he told me that the mechanics checked out the vehicle and that nothing was wrong with it. As soon as I returned home, I began experiencing the same problems. So, the next day, I took it to two other mechanics. They told me that the vehicle was having rack and pinion and transmission problems. I then contacted alam, the dealership again and told him that I had taken the vehicle to two other mechanics and told him what they said. His response was, "let the warranty take care of it". alam, the dealership took me to another one of his mechanic's that worked on all of his vehicles, whose shop located on 4208 mangum rd. Ste.8 called autotech collision executive auto, I tried to wait for them to test drive it but alam began to engage in improper conversations, and making improper bodily and hand gesters so I left. After about another week later, I called to check on the status of the vehicle, they told me that nothing was wrong with the vehicle.

: the contact stated while driving 55mph in normal conditions, the check engine lamp illuminated. Seconds later, the contact smelled smoke and felt extreme heat coming from under the dashboard. The contact immediately pulled to the side of the road and evacuated all passengers. The vehicle was completely engulfed in flames within 20 seconds and burned to the ground. The police and fire departments immediately responded to extinguish the fire and afterward provided written reports. The fire chief's written report gave a mechanical engine failure as a possible cause of the fire. No prior problems with the vehicle were reported. There was a NHTSA recall # 05V466000, concerning the fuel pump. The recall information states that gasoline contaminated with silicone affected the fuel pump with tiny pin holes and could result in a fire. The contact is located one mile from one of the selected states mentioned and had purchased gas in one of the states. The insurance company inspected the vehicle and deemed it a total loss. The manufacturer was alerted of the incident.

I bought my Isuzu Axiom in Nov 2002. It has had several hazardous defects. 1) in May 2005, at 60,000 miles the transmission suddenly failed while driving, causing the vehicle to slow to 20-30 mph, no longer accelerating. It was brought to the dealership. The transmission fluid burnt up. After two transmission flushes the transmission still needed to be replaced. Only after getting Isuzu involved, did the dealership honor the warranty and replaced the transmission. Three weeks later I received the vehicle back. The same day it suddenly slowed again, not accelerating past 20 mph and it slipped/spun accelerating from stop lights. It was immediately brought back to the dealership, the main oil seal was replaced. After that it worked with intermittent periods of slipping/spinning when accelerating. It progressively became slower to accelerate when passing, changing lanes. In Sept. 05 the transmission went bad again, my vehicle suddenly stopped accelerating while going up a hill, causing a near accident with vehicles behind me. It was towed to the dealership, the transmission needed replaced again, for the third time! what good is Isuzu Axiom's 10 year/120,000 mile warranty if the transmission keeps going out suddenly as I drive it? the warranty won't prevent me from being in an accident the next time this happens. In addition it has experienced the following defects. 2) Sept. 04 the timing belt cracked at 44,000 miles, needing replaced. Per the schedule maintenance it should not need replaced until 100,000 miles. 3)June 04, the low fuel light came on and the gas meter dipped to empty after just filling up. The fuel pump needed replaced. 4)June 04, the check transmission light came on, it could not be duplicated at the dealer. 5)March 04 and October 04 the front wheel bearings needed repacked and now need fully replaced due to barely passing Sept 05 state inspection. 6)the vehicle intermittently skids to stop when brakes are applied in the rain.
