Axiom

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

Bought my SUV in July 2013. Had not had my own car for 8 years and I buy this one from Subaru of Las Vegas, NV.

In Dec. I was driving home and the tranny starts slipping. So I take it to the shop by where I lived called Transmission Wholesale. After keeping my vehicle 7 months it came back to me to go out 3 more times and is still in the shop. I pay my payment more than I drive it .I love. my SUV. But I can't afford it.

Update from Sep 13, 2015: The last 3 times its been repaired it leaked fluid so bad that it covered the back of.the vehicle and underneath. The mechanic is stumped. He said he went through it completely to have it fail. He stands by his warranty. He has fixed it three times.

Update from Sep 13, 2015: It's in shop now and suppose to have it back next week.will let you know

Axiom S 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 122,000 miles

I purchased this vehicle from Allan Vigil Ford on December 26, 2011 with 119,000 miles on it. The car looked to be in excellent shape. In March of 2012, I was riding down the road, and someone pulled out in front of me so I put on the breaks. When I did, I felt the car downshift extremely hard, then when I went and pushed on the gas pedal, the car just revved up really high, almost as if the car was in neutral. I let it down shift back into first gear, and took off again. It shifted hard through the first two gears, then would not go into any gears higher than second. i had it towed to a transmission shop, where I payed $2,500 to have the transmission completely rebuilt. A few months passed, and I had the same problem occur again. Since having it rebuilt, the transmission has went out two more times. I am not abusing this vehicle, if anything, I baby it. When I talked to the guy who has been repairing my transmission, he even tells me he has no clue what keeps causing this to happen. It is a great car, but with this problem, I have come to despise it. I have been stranded numerous times because of this car, and the more research I do, the more I see this is a very common problem amongst these vehicles. Why hasnt Isuzu stepped up and taken charge of these faulty transmissions? To anyone looking to purchase one of these vehicles, DON'T!
