problem #1

Feb 032010

Rodeo S 2.2L 4 cyl

  • Manual transmission
  • 126,000 miles

The Fuel Gauge works only when the vehicle is full of gas. when the level starts to drop, the gas hand goes back and forth between a quarter of a tank to full! The gas light comes on intermediately along with the check engine light. I was advised that replacing the fuel sending unit would take care of this problem, along with turning off the check engine light.
