Trooper 4WD 6-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 52,000 miles
My wife stepped on brake pedal to shift into drive the brake went to the floor, I went out to try it myself & got same result. After opening the hood I noticed master cylinder was at a 45 degree angle to the right, the bolt on the vacuum booster had snapped of which damaged the booster & pedal function. If this had happened during vehicle was in motion it could of had severe consequences. I notified Isuzu of America to see if it was covered on our warranty they said no, I asked you don't want to do anything about a defect like this, the answer was still no. I find this disturbing since I am a auto body tech/appraiser and I felt you should be informed of this episode. Any response would be help full thankfully she did not try and drive this car & I was at home to see it I have pictures, dealer has vehicle. Here is the reps name & number john quilan 678-977-1287. Dealer number attn tom toppan (they have been great) 508-697-3113. Im not sure hwo this works so I will place it under defective equipment on original car.
