I was traveling sb I25 mile marker 251 ON7/7/17 at 13;20. When a 6ft long tire debre was in the road and got hit by truck and thrown into my radiator and damaged the front end of my vehicle. When I talk to chp he had an earlier report of this yet it was in the road when I entered onto what I believed was a safe highway. I have the required liability insurance, this is not covered. The trucking co says they arent liable so the only other liability is cdot since the road wasn't safe.

When driving the engine will shut-off without any warning with loss of power steering. Will not restart. This has happened three times - the first time was around Sept. 13. car has been towed three times. I was told the computer box was "filled with about a 100 codes and were erased and the car should be fine". the mechanic has extensive Jaguar experience. I have only driven this car about 100 miles since the first incident to the present date. (I was afraid to drive this car much because I do not know when the problem will occur). On 4-21-04 the problem occurred again and I was unable to steer the vehicle (at a pedestrian industrial intersection) and my family was in the car. I researched the internet and this is a common problem with the 2002 Jaguar X-type. This car is dangerous to drive and a danger to the public, myself and to my family. I have owned this car since new and never abused. It needs to be recalled and the problem fixed before someone is killed! updated 05/20/14 updated 06/19/14

The engine would quit running, usually when turning right and usually while bouncing over a bump. The car would sometimes show codes relating to the transmission, cylinder misfiring, or the security system failing. Sometimes no codes at all would be stored, and sometimes the car would start back up on its own after a brief moment. Other times it was un-drivable. The underlying issue turned out to be the positive battery cable supplying the fuse box was rubbing against a transmission mount bolt head and grounding out.
