Brakes failed going 70 mph on the freeway. Absolutely no brakes and pedal went complete to floor without no stopping. Used emergency brake and rear-ended car in front. No air bags went off. Car speed was about 35-40mph at time of impact due to slowing from emergency brake.

On three separate occasions vehicle would intermittently commence to accelerate while applying the brake pedal. Vehicle had been to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the problem.. while at alight vehicle accelerated and surged, forcing the driver to shift into neutral until engine stopped accelerating.

While driving consumer noticed a parked vehicle on the highway. Consumer tried to avoid hitting the vehicle by making a right turn onto the shoulder, but steering wheel failed. Consumer applied the brakes and pedal went to the floor. Consumer's vehicle collided with the other vehicle. It flipped over three times and landed in a ditch. Upon impact, driver's side air bag did not deploy, but passenger's side air bag deployed. Driver and passenger sustained head and back injuries, and were transported to the hospital by ambulance. Vehicle was towed and totaled by the insurance company.
