Wife was driving her brand-new, 1 month-old 2018 Jaguar XE on a South Florida highway during morning rush hour when the engine completely shut off/died. The steering wheel locked and she was barely able to get the car off of the road. Car was never able to be restarted. Dealer was never able to determine what happened, but is calling it a "catastrophic engine failure." Dealer initially said they needed to replace the entire engine, but now say that they have no idea if they can even get a new engine for it, so we're dealing with Jaguar corporate to either get out of the car or for them to get us a new one.
