Upon inspection, the contact noticed fuel leaking from the fuel tank fuel outlet flange. The dealer was made aware of the failure and scheduled an upcoming appointment. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 12V521000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, an abnormally strong gasoline odor would emit throughout the vehicle with the check engine warning remaining illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact discovered that fuel was leaking from the fuel tank on the passenger-??s side of the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed him that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 12V521000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) which he linked to the failure. The contact was then instructed by the manufacturer to take the vehicle to a local dealer for an inspection; however, the contact declined. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 91,000.

The fuel pump failed for a 2nd time...we replaced it underwarranty 6 mos ago..friends are complaining.I called Jaguar usa they have no interest in this.this is a highly dangerous condition very common in this model.
