First test ride with salesman driving. I got into the passenger side and closed the door. When the salesman started the car the instrument panel alerted him that my door was not fully latched. He got out and came around and closed my door more firmly. I thought nothing of this at the time. A month later I was driving a friend about and she had repeated problems with not closing the door firmly enough. The door bounced back out so that the trailing edge was about 0.125 inches out from the rear door. Took the car to the dealer. They said they will adjust the door in the service bay. After adjustment door bounced when service tech demonstrated that it was now 'fixed'. service then said, that due to the law, they would have to send to body shop for further adjustment. I declined. Eleven months later door still bouncing and brought it back to dealer for servicing. Dealer again adjusted door, then sent it to body shop and said it is now fixed. I disagreed, saying door still bounces. Based on dealer 'fix' jag customer relations says door now meets manufacturers specs. Is this a safety issue.
