The contact owns a 2013 Jaguar Xf. The contact stated that the vehicle emitted an abnormal fuel odor and the check engine warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to cherry hill Jaguar (2000 NJ-70, cherry hill, NJ) where it was diagnosed that the fuel injectors were defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was returned to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the occupant air sensor was defective and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the fuel line was defective and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified and did not assist. The contact was notified by the manufacturer that the part to repair the vehicle was on a three and a half year backorder. The failure mileage was approximately 65,000.
