Jaguar sf. Consumer writes in regards to takata passenger airbag safety recall.

Parts are unavailable for this recall, which was expected to be resolved in January. I was sold this vehicle unknowing of the recall. Not sure on the legality of that. This serious matter has not been dealt with in a timely manner at all.

Takata recall. The contact owns a 2013 Jaguar Xf. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 18V010000 (air bags); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. Jaguar of troy in troy, Michigan was made aware of the recall and stated that the parts were unavailable and would not be available until March of 2019. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
