still haven't tracked the problem down. put new plugs in it, but so far no good. gonna try to replace the mass airflow sensor, and if that don't do it, then the throttle positioning sensor.

When the engine would idle or when driving and stopping at light engine would rattle sputter then die. Got mad since I was responding to an Emergency Medical Call, towed jeep to my mechanic not dealer, kevin put computer on and found out the TPS or Throttle Positioning sensor was bad. went to parts store picked one up for around $25 took old one off and discovered old one was not bad just out of position. I figured since my jeep had over 140,000 mile I would just replace it anyway.
KEY NOTE you have to know what the voltage settings is for the sensor for it to be installed properly.
I had about a total of $50 into fixing this problem, haven't had any problem with engine since then.
