While driving vehicle would not change gears. Towed vehicle to mechanic. Metal pin broke that caused vehicle to stop shifting.

Consumer was traveling about 40mph on highway while entering a ramp there was a loud grinding/loud noise. This was caused by gears coming apart. Dealership was aware of problem, and consumer had transmission replaced.
