evaporator core failure evaporator core failure evaporator core failure

Evap core failure sometime between Jan 2024 - May 2024. Book time appears to be around 9 - 12 hours, vehicle takes HFO-1234YF refrigerant which is EXPENSIVE. Total cost: $2000-$3000 to repair around western WA state. Requires the whole dashboard to be removed, which means your doors need to come out, center console needs to come out, coolant drained, steering wheel removed, windshield wipers and cowel removed, HVAC box pulled and evap core replaced. Then reverse to install. In the 10 months I've owned this vehicle, It's sucked my bank account dry. My first and last Jeep.
