As I am driving the vehicle suddenly loses power and stops. The vehicle tugs and pulls back as I am driving and then loses power and indicates me to shift to park. On some occasion's the vehicle completely stops in the middle of the road.

I took my vehicle in on February 14, 2020 for a software update to hopefully fix the hesitation I experience when trying to accelerate followed by a slight jolt. The update has made this issue worse, so bad that I have neck pain, scared to pull out with traffic, has caused my wheels to peel out multiple times, and have a hard time accelerating when I come to a complete stop or merging on the freeway. The jolt that happens makes everyone in my vehicle jolt forward and cause the seat belts to lock up. I am to the point I do not feel comfortable having my kids in the car because of how often my car loses power to accelerate or gets locked in a lower gear. This issue happens when driving and trying to speed up, or when your at a complete stop and trying to go at the green light or stop sign.

I have had multiple issues regarding the transmission in this Jeep Cherokee. It fails to move forward after a stop while pressing the accelerator then at about 3.5 RPM takes off and I have had this issue from the beginning. We have done multiple recalls and still there are hard shifting issues and now the ptu has failed.

On startup of my vehicle, the wipers start on full speed without any control. The turn signal indicators do not function and my vehicle has rough shifting. Lastly, the running lights on the vehicle do not function when this error is occurring. The error that appears is "shift to P and then desired gear". so I literally have to stop my vehicle (even if I am on the highway) shift to P and then back to D. this is extremely dangerous while on the road. This has happened multiple times and the only way to stop is by stopping the vehicle and disconnecting the battery to reset the software. I have taken it to the dealership and they have flashed the software multiple times, however the same issue keeps occurring. Now I am experiencing a "service shifter" error. This error flashes on the instrument cluster when driving and all of the shifter lights illuminate red. This error happens sporadically and should be addressed as not being able to use turn signal indicators is also extremely hazardous and dangerous while on the road.

I was driving on the freeway going 70 mph my car started beeping and said service transmission. Restart in park with vehicle speed at zero. Once is gave me that message it was as if my car went into neutral and it wouldn't let me speed up or anything no matter how much I pushed on the gas. I was in the middle lane and my speed kept decreasing and I almost got hit 3 times trying to get over to restart my car. Once I finally got over I had to turn my car off and restart it. I have had this happen more than once and I'm terrified I'm going to be in a horrible accident.

Within two minutes of starting the vehicle and driving it on the road, the vehicle was stall mid-traffic and become inoperable. The battery light then comes on with an error on screen with something to the effect of, "car must be in park in order to shift." Turning the key does nothing until 3 minutes of causing a traffic hazard when the engine finally turns over. Also the transmission has rough shifts at slow speeds causing the vehicle to suddenly jerk forward as if the gas was aggressively pushed down. This jerkiness to the transmission and speed has almost caused me to hit parked vehicles when trying to park the vehicle in a parking lot area.

Was driving home last Saturday night. 10-26-19, all of the sudden antilock light warning appeared, parking brake warning, 4X4 system. Traction control, and service transmission warning. I pulled over, shut vehicle off, once restarted it was all off, then I drove about 10 miles up.the road. It came on again all lights and warnings, when your driving between 40-55 mph, it seems to accelerate and then decelerate. As if someone was giving it gas and then letting off of the pedal, is how I can describe it. I started it on today 10-28-19, it's still driving the same way with all warning lights on. Code reader doesn't show anything wrong with it. Vehicle has 61,640 miles on it. 2.4L, 9 speed transmission.

Recall number 16V-529 has not been remedied for 3 years, and I've experienced numerous issues because of it. Jeep will not look at it for free despite the fact that I'm affected by this warranty. My car shifts into neutral while driving frequently, and it's unacceptable that there has not been a fix for this yet.

I have a 2014 Jeep Cherokee latitude and today all of the lights were on on my shifter, it also was propelling it self forward while I had the break down it did three times while in the middle of the highway. Yesterday I submitted a different complaint about the power train acting up. Today the power train began to act up again while in the highway. It wasn't shifting and felt as if it was driving in neutral but at a very low speed while the RPM moved up and the speed didn't move at all. This is a serious safety concern especially considering that I am not the only one having issues.
