I leased a 2015 Jeep Limited in April 2015, about one month after having the vehicle, I noticed that the vehicle shifts very hard, and lunges forward at times. It is very rough when stopping on a hill, after I let me foot off the brake, the RPMs would soar and then the vehicle would lunge forward. Contacted the dealership, they took it in, did an "Upgrade" on computer and vehicle seemed ok for about another month. Now it's back to doing the same thing, and the electronic transmission will not go into the higher gear ratio (7,8 and 9t) unless I manually shift it to those. Contacted the dealership again, it will be going in the shop next week.
I'm getting a little tired of this and now I firmly believe this is a safety issue.
Update from Dec 2, 2015: Just some basic info to pass on, as I'm sure most people realize to also file a formal complaint, with NHSA but in case there are some folks who have not done so, please follow this link, and file the complaint.

I had mine back in, this time they replaced the entire transmission, it has been three weeks, thus far I have not had a problem, however not many miles on it since I got it back.

I noticed in the middle of August my Jeep was "lurching" when accelerating from a stop. It happened several times as well as the transmission just not running smooth. I called the dealership and told them about it and was told to schedule an appointment. I scheduled an appointment for other recall / software updates. After the transmission and power train software updates, I was told by the service tech to give the car between 100 - 300 miles to let the new transmission software update "feel my driving out." Well, starting yesterday, my Jeep is shifting fine from 1st to 2nd, but revving between 3000 RPMS to 4500 RPMS to shift. It is really dragging and has a horrible sound. I had to accelerate onto a busy highway and the Jeep was just "spinning" and couldn't find a gear. I almost got smashed by a huge truck. I've called the dealer and they told me to bring it back in. We'll see what happens from here.
Update from Nov 16, 2015: Since my original complaint, I have had to take my Jeep back to the dealer - 3 times!! I have had a value replaced and 2 more additional software updates. Last time I took it in, October 3rd, I was told nothing was wrong with the Jeep, but it needed another software update. I said "Ok, sure, but the transmission is acting up, I promise." They do the update and I get my car back 3 days later. Around the middle to end of October, I noticed the transmission was acting up again. It was lurching at times, RPMs getting high, not shifting gears, and sounding and acting "gritty" and "grindy." This past week, week of November 9th, my husband had to drive my Jeep all week for work and the transmission did the same old thing it had originally done - it would not catch gear, would not shift and then all of a sudden, after the RPMS got into the 7000's, slammed into gear and slammed the Jeep forward. It did that a time or two along with the gears just not shifting and getting into really high RPMs before changing gear. It's back at the dealership today. I have written a letter to the dealership citing the NC Lemon Law Act and copied Fiat Chrysler. The Jeep has just under 18,000 miles now. I bought in November 2014.

While traveling to work in stop and go traffic noticed when I eased up on the brake from stopping the vehicle lunged forward almost causing me to rear end the vehicle in front. I have noticed delays in accelerating from a stop or lunging from a stop, either way very dangerous. I was told when I bought it that I would notice this issue but it would be resolved once it was driven a few weeks as it sat on the lot for awhile. Once during a stop to make a turn it did not respond quick enough, had the oncoming traffic been closer there may have been a crash. I see many of the same complaints. Something needs done. This is a serious issue. No vehicle should lunge from a stopped position or stall when trying to accelerate through a turn at a traffic light. Took it on vacation and family members noticed the jerking motion. Please do something to get this resolved quickly.

The transmission has delayed and rough shifts from 2nd to 3rd gear and there is a rough shift when slowing down to 3mph and accelerating. I have had a R01 Recall, Valve Body Replacement, & Software TSB. There seems to be no fix if the car is shifting poorly as my dealer told me it shifts like a typical 9 speed.
Update from Oct 12, 2015: Now at 9K miles the Service Transmission light turned and the transmission would not shift out of 4th gear. Was pretty dangerous driving at low speed because I had very little power and felt like I was going to get hit in an intersection. I had the jeep towed to the local dealer and they are looking into the problem.

Had another recall (airbag). Had oil changed, checked leak in left rear tire. Checked Transmission for hard shifts.
Fixed airbag recall. Changed oil. Test drove for transmission problem. Reset transmission values.

I just want my 1st and 2nd gear back after the last software update the car does not down shift unless you are at a full stop.
If going 5 MPH you start out in 3rd gear apply a little gas it slams into a lower gear then the tires squeal. Jeep says that normal.
But they programmed it to do this I did not buy it this way.
