Purchased my Jeep used in July 2018 - have taken back to the dealer 5 times now for excessive braking sound. It's still not fixed and I keep getting the run around. It's a loud sound, like a jake brake almost and happens whenever braking downhill or med-hard brake on flat road. It doesn't feel like it's going to stop and I don't feel safe driving the vehicle anymore. Super disappointed in Jeep...

I have been experiencing a loud click noise occasionally when initially braking. I am concerned this could potentially be a safety issue so I will be having this inspected.

click and squeaking of brakes
Just picked vehicle up 12/14/2016 from garage, drove it to Harrisburg shopping (45 minutes) brakes squeaking at stops and clicking with release. My husband suspects short. Chrysler says computer didn't find anything wrong.

After only owning the vehicle for several months, I started hearing a snap sound when braking. Sometimes, it would occur when releasing from the brake. It continues to get more frequent and now can be heard on occasion when driving down the road without applying brake. I have taken my car to several dealerships and numerous visits. Twice, the dealerships had the vehicle for a week. The dealer replaced the axel shafts as they felt that may have been the issue, but to no avail as the noise continued. They also replaced the power transfer unit, but that did not solve the problem. At this point, they do not know what is causing the noise and they cannot do anything to fix the issue.
