Parking brake would engage when shifting gear into park. I could not release parking brake and had to have my vehicle towed to dealer. It would not go forward or backwards. After assessment from service department I was asked did I spill anything because the electrical system was under my cup holder and water could have spilled down into electrical system brake causing the switch to malfunction. I'm very puzzled as to why the electrical system would not be protected from spillage due to how it is designed if that was the issue. I am very displeased that I have to pay $250.00 plus to have it repaired.

I am disgusted that I am paying a car note on a 2017 Jeep Cherokee Sport that cannot be repaired due to the unavailability of part needed. Car is still sitting in service area of dealership. My warranty has expired and there was a request to pay $187.00/month for 3 years. I am so ready to get rid of this unreliable vehicle.
