Cherokee Latitude Plus 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,000 miles

I purchased a brand new 2018 Jeep Cherokee at the very end of March of this year. I was very excited and absolutely loved the vehicle. I drove it very lightly so as to properly break it in for the first 1,000 miles.

However, once I neared the 1,000 mile mark I started noticing a problem. When I shifted from 4th to 5th gear the car made a buzzing noise. So, I took it to the dealer. Upon inspection they stated I needed a total transmission replacement!

Now my garage floor is covered in ATF and the Jeep is starting to shift rough. Original dealer became hostile towards me and contacted Jeep Corporate customer service. Still waiting to have another dealer take a look and replace the transmission. Neither dealership has offered me a loaner vehicle in the meantime.
