Stellantis is the worst type of auto manufacturer. Defective transmission design; service fee for repair estimate; 3 month wait for replacement unit; $1400.00 deposit to order replacement unit (with no guarantee of delivery).
All this with a relatively low mileage (68,000 mi) 2021 Jeep Cherokee. This corporation will never change, but with this type of company incompetence, they deserve any and all financial problems they encounter.
I will never buy any type of Stellantis vehicle again,

PTU failed at 11,000 miles. The dealership blamed the failure on a two inch spacer lift and refused to cover it under warranty. I know others who have 3+ inch lifts on the KL Trailhawk platform with no PTU issues, that combined with the rate of failure of the PTU across all KL platforms makes this highly suspicious.

Beside the legal criminal behavior of Jeep / Stellantis to even sell cars like the Jeep Cherokee with inherently defective 4WD PTU transmissions, their local dealership franchises further exploit hapless consumers by 1) charging for an unnecessary diagnosis, 2) make beleaguered owners pay upfront while they wait endlessly for a new PTU, and then only warrantee such an important component for only two years, is an absolute insult to their helpless and trusting consumers.
Do what is right! NEVER again buy another Stellantis manufactured automobile!
