Commander V.6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

My wife bought the Commander from our local car dealership, Stevenson & Sorneson Chevrolet in Lake Wales Fl. My wife bought it in 2006 and she did receive a decent deal on it because the car lot used it as a demo vehicle. We still own it today March 19, 2018 and it just hit 90,000 miles. This Jeep has been very reliable except for the interior door handle on the rear passenger side. It broke off very easily when I shut the door. The handle is still on there but it won’t open the door except from the outside. Very annoying and could be potentially dangerous in the event of an accident. I will file a second complaint now because about the driver side door handle.

Commander

  • Automatic transmission
  • 30,000 miles

SHAME ON COMPANIES LIKE JEEP, CHRYSLER, AND ANYONE ELSE THAT IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS MOST DANGEROUS PROBLEM. IT IS ONE THING HAVING TROUBLE IN TRYING TO GET INTO A CAR BUT IT IS MOST DANGEROUS OR DEADLY IN TRYING TO GET OUT OF A CAR. WHY COMPANIES HAVE TO WAIT TO ISSUE A RECALL IS BEYOND BELIEF AND UNFORGIVABLE.

NOT ON LY IS THIS DEFECT DANGEROUS, IT IS ALSO VERY EXPENSIVE TO FIX.

WE BOUGHT 2 FULLY LOADED VERY EXPENSIVE JEEP COMMANDERS THAT WERE SITTING RIGHT ON THE SALES FLOOR. THEY WERE BOUGHT AS GRADUATION GIFTS FOR OUR LAST 2 OUT OF 6 CHILDREN. WE BOUGHT THEM FOR OUR BOY AND GIRL TWINS.

WE BOUGHT, NOT 1 CAR, BUT 2 CARS THAT CAUSED OUR CHILDREN SO MANY PROBLEMS FROM DAY ONE. THEY WOULD JUST STOP IN THE MIDDLE OF TRAFFIC IN SAN ANTONIO, WITHOUT WARNINGS. YES, THEIR CARS WERE BEAUTIFUL AND VERY EXPENSIVE, BUT THEY TURNED OUT TO BE LEMONS. TO DATE THEY HAVE THEIR DOOR HANDLES BROKEN. IT IS SO EMBARRASSING.
