I received 2 notices for a recall on my ignition switch and nothing is available as of today 7/10/15. End of 2014 was my first notice and July 2015 is another. Backorder is what I here from the dealerships. Why send theses notice if you don't have the products to take care of us? I also received 2 notices on my durango 2007, VIN# [xxx]. I am not complaining about any car dealership. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

The contact owns a 2008 Jeep Commander. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the air bag warning light illuminated and the headlights malfunctioned. Also, the contact mentioned that the ignition switch seized on the accessory position. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 14V567000 (electrical system); however, the part needed to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 73,000.
