The contact owns a 2008 Jeep Commander. The contact stated that the check engine light illuminated on the warning panel. The dealer replaced the spark plugs, fuel injectors and two cell packs. Immediately following the repairs, while driving 55 mph, the vehicle stalled and all of the warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact was able to maneuver the vehicle onto the emergency lane and shut off the engine. After restarting the engine, the vehicle would operate normally for the approximately 2 to 5 miles and the failure would persist. The dealer replaced the solenoids, cell packs and the central computer (cpu). When the dealer test drove the vehicle, it stalled again. The vehicle was left in possession of the dealer in an attempt to determine the cause of and remedy for the failure. The failure and current mileages were 30,900. Updated 07/21/10.
