Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).vehicle purchased in Florida. Minimal driving.. no issues. Once recall announced St pete Jeep said they had resolved the issue. However the dealership has a local reputation of saying the work was completed when it had not. Now I have moved to Minnesota and the brakes are tightening. The bas and slippery signal is on and off. And the engine symbol is consistent on the dashboard. I feel unsafe in my vehicle and I feel the issues are related. The vehicle was towed to roseville Chrysler [xxx] they are charging me $140 to review the vehicle. I just received part time work and unable to drive the possibly unsafe vehicle. Please assisting to make sure the dealership follows procedure. I [xxx] NHTSA campaign id number : 06V493 manufacture dates: September - December 2006 potential number of units affected : 50,665 Jeep Compass summary on certain vehicles, the antilock brake system (ABS) control module software may cause the rear brakes to lock up during certain braking conditions. This could result in a loss of vehicle control and cause a crash without warning. Remedy: Dealers will reprogram the ABS electronic control unit. The recall began on February 19, 2007.
