Took my 2011 jeep to get inspected to find out it won't pass. The whole subframe is rusted out. Filled with holes, unsafe to drive. Called jeep up after doing some looking on the internet, seen they have an extended warranty for the same problem on the 2007 jeeps, but not mine and its 4 years newer. I'm not really understanding that really. I mean they will fix a 2007 rusty subframe, and not one that's 4 years newer. Um ok really. By the looks of it, I'm thinken its been like this for awile.

My front end was making all kinds of grinding sounds. One day in my way home from work the drivers side tire felt like it was going to fall off. It was wobbling and making a new grinding sound. When I got home we took the tire off and saw a piece of the surface was rusted and broke off. The whole control arm, cv joint - all that could just move at will. When we took the old rusted syndrome off, it was crumbling. And I was able to just take my finger through the metal. Not a safe design. We fixed it ourselves to save over $1000. But not a fun chore.
