Electronic throttle control and electronic stability control indicator lights turn on and vehicle goes into "limp" mode creating the inability to accelerate over 10mph. When pulling out in front of oncoming traffic, the Jeep stalls and then goes into limp mode. Serious safety concern with not being able to accelerate in these scenarios. Has happened ever since the Jeep had 50,000 miles and has continued to the point the vehicle is no longer drivable as of June 2020 (issues began in Jan 2019). Extreme hesitation has occurred when trying to accelerate on an on-ramp also creating a safety hazard as to not get up to the appropriate speed to safely merge with traffic. Cvt transmission began overheating at 55,000 miles, also causing the Jeep to go into limp mode.

Electronic stability control problems with my 2013 Jeep Compass. 2 times already(one on the highway)where I am driving and the light comes on causing my vehicle to lose power and travel at a much slower speed(my speed drops). This is extremely dangerous. If this is a recall, Jeep, please look into this before this defect kills someone. First there was a defect in which my transmission needed to be replaced the year after I purchased it. Now this. If its a recall, please reach out to owners before someone loses their life

"takata recall" my Jeep goes to the dealership for everything. I recently just got an inspection. My Jeep has 67,000 mile on it. I have had 2 recalls, in which have not been fixed due to lack of parts. When I got my Jeep back after my inspection, I notice the vehicle seemed to be lagging when I hit the gas pedal. This morning a light flickered on then off, so I looked in my user guide to see what it was. It was the electronic throttle control light. I was in the middle of accelerating onto an interstate, which could have been fatal. I am more than pissed right now. I had been a devoted Chevy fan for years, and wanted top give Jeep a shot. But at this point, I'm ready to ditch this lemon, and go back to my Chevy roots.

When making a left turn the traction control light sensor flashes and power is lost to the axles. This happens for at least ten seconds. The car is going less than 20 mph on dry road conditions. This has happened on two different occasions. I took it to the dealer and they said there was no issue. After I took it to the dealer it happened again.

I bought this Jeep June 25th 2015. I have had it in the shop 3 times, and I continue to have the same problem. The problem is with the traction control system. Repairs have been done to the traction control system even before I bought the vehicle. The car fax shows where it had been in the shop to have the struts were replaced back on April 25, 2014. It also shows that it had to have two tires replaced on 6/8/2015. I have taken the vehicle in 3 times to have the same issue corrected. Work orders from 7/18/2015, 8/25/2015 and 9/3/2015. I continue to have problems with it that I do not drive it. I feel it is unsafe. I feel any moment I could cause an accident that could hurt myself or someone else. The vehicle has swirled two times on me so bad that it almost caused me to hit the wall. If I had not stopped the vehicle fast enough, I would have hit the wall. If a car would have been on my right, I would have hit it. The vehicle had to be towed from the service road of the highway.
