The contact owns a 2017 Jeep Compass. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the contact heard an abnormal sound coming from the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with an excessive amount of play in the passenger-??s side front axle. The contact was advised to take the vehicle to a transmission specialist. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 68,900.
