I had only had my car for a few days when I stopped to run an errand. Went back to my car and followed the protocol of pressing on brake then start button. Nothing happened....blank but radio and everything else was running. Pressed brake and button again and said car was on. Must be an electric car because I couldn't hear any engine noise. Couldn't release gears or emergency brake. After about 30 minutes car started. Took to service next day, they could not diagnose problem. Said they needed to witness the issue in order to fix it. Took my car back. Took a road trip, stopped for gas and went to start to leave....Nothing. Waited after about 20 minutes started. Again took dealership...same song, same dance with them. I told them about all the internet complaints with this same issue and that it appeared to be related to an electronic control module as some said or a bcm whatever that is. This seems to be a widespread issue with the compass but why there hasn't been a recall to fix this issue is frustrating. Maybe they need a big class action lawsuit to wake them up. They said there was a software update to fix this problem, but I guess my car missed that update. Next step file a Lemon Law action.
