I have a 2018 Jeep Compass. Problem is the same as some others posting here.

Three days in a row, the Jeep stalled and emergency brake engaged by itself. I called the dealer, they checked the oil. Their solution was to do an oil consumption test. At about 13,000 miles at this point. They fill oil and other fluids. Tell me to bring it back after 17,000 miles.

About 3 weeks ago I start getting a low oil pressure light come on the dashboard. I call and make appointment for oil change. At this point I'm about 17,300 miles. I go on vacation, appointment to be the week after I'm back.

Get back from vacation, drive the car about 3 days and make one turn and it stalls and emergency brake comes on. I immediately call service department. They say bring it right in and we'll check the oil. I bring it in, they check everything and tell me the engine needs to be replaced. I dropped it off for the replacement on 8/26, I'm hoping that this afternoon, 9/3 that it's finished.

I lease this vehicle, I'm really surprised that Chrysler would take the time and money to replace a whole engine rather than scrap the vehicle and give me a new one.

Thankfully every time the car stalled I was on back roads and no cars were behind me. There definitely needs to be a recall on these vehicles, they're not safe at this point and stalling can happen at any time.
