Left overnight, my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo won't start. A quick jump of the battery starts it right up. After a trip to the store, it starts right up. Left parked for an hour or more, it starts right up. With this info, I assume that there is a short somewhere that draws only a slight amount of current, but more current than the dashboard clock. I have some tools, including a volt/ohm meter and an old Dixco Bench Model Engine Analyzer (from around 1975). Any troubleshooting help will be greatly appreciated, including advice on what settings to use with a tester (such as using a setting for amperes or voltage, etc.).
Thank you,
BOSAN
Update from Feb 8, 2015: Also, if I disconnect the battery overnight, and reconnect it in the morning, the car starts right up. It is only a problem if I leave it connected overnight.
