Overdrive to vehicle drive section was operating fine until 75,450 just after warranty expired and during trip fro Maine to Connecticut it unexpectedly began to put itself into overdrive on and off while vehicle was on cruise control set for 65 miles an hour. It became necessary to take vehicle off cruise control and operate vehicle with overdrive on to avoid sudden acceleration at moments when cruising in traffic going same speed, hazardous potential for accident if closer to vehicles or passing vehicles.
