problem #1

Jul 152007

Grand Cherokee Lerado 4.0L S6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 150,000 miles

When I engage the 4 wheel drive the jeep would jerk really bad when I turned in any direction. Also It would not disengage the 4 wheel drive after the lever was pulled back to 2 wheel. Not to mention the vibration in the wheels on any speed over 30 Mph.

If you have this problem and want to do it yourself. Don't. A 2 hour job took me just over 12 Hours. If you do, just take the u-joints out and have a shop press them out and back in for you. It's not that expensive (which I found out after the fact).
