The contact owns a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The fuel gauge indicated that there was fuel present in the vehicle, however, the vehicle would run out of gas. The contact was not the driver and could not give more detail. The manufacturer stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA recall # 97V194000 (fuel system, gasoline:storage:tank assembly). The current mileage is 129,000 and failure mileage was 122,000.
