About a month ago, the engine would rather before starting. Now it takes about 2-3 seconds of steady cranking before the engine catches. Initially, I thought it was a problem with the ignition switch. Turns out, this is a common problem with this vehicle between the years 1997-2002

Let me start by saying I LOVE MY JEEP!! I want it to run 4-eva. I bought it used with 19,000 miles and drove it to 15 states. Lately it has been starting lazy (i. e. Crankes more to start). It has been to a multitude of service centers, mechanics and dealers with no repair; I get the same ol' response "unable to duplicate/ identify problem". Just before this problem started it was stalling after starting (intermitent problem). PLEASE HELP!
