Vehicle feels like it's riding while the parking brake (?) is engaged, at times only, not always. There just seems to be a sort of resistance noticed. It's been going on for about a year now and, although I've been telling my husband of it during this entire time, he just noticed the other day that, while en-route to a nearby location, upon arrival, the rear passenger-side tire area was smoking a bit. He said it was coming from the brake pads (?), and he got a cup of water and poured it on the area, to which it produced a bit more smoke, of course. Now I'm certain of the resistance and I'm concerned that the brakes will wear down prematurely and won't be working when I desperately need them and have my children in the vehicle with me, which is always.
