So i drove to work on a rainy day, as i was driving the rain picked up heavily till the highway i was on almost looked like a river. As i was driving I heard a chime and all the gauges and lights flickered a little. That was the start. when i reached work i turned the key to off and the engine stayed running and the gauges started flashing and the needles went back an forth. I tried the key again on and off till it finally shut off. I figured maybe something got wet and shorted out. At the end of the day the weather had gottin better and i tried to stop my jeep again, it started right up i drove it home with no problems. About 3 weeks later with no problems i stopped at a dealership to look at a car when i went back to my jeep to leave the gauges started going crazy again and the engine would start and tun for 5 sec and shut off, after trying it 5 or 6 times i decided to leave it because we happened to be at a jeep chrysler dealer anyway. they were closed at the time so no one could check it right then. The next day when they checked it out they said it started right up and ran fine. I felt it there anyway and went car shopping that night. I wanted something smaller and better on gas anyway and i wasnt going to deal with this nonsense, i found a car i wanted to buy and simply picked up my jeep and took it to the other dealership to trade it in. I know from experience that electrical problems suck and can cost alot to find the actual problem.
