This so called death wobble is a big problem. I have to watch the road in front of me constantly in case I need to slow down or go around a rough spot in the road. My daughter and I were driving down the road the other day at 50 mph and a little bump in the road set if off. It wobbles crazily and I have to come to a complete stop to make it stop. Also I'm sure other people can see when its wobbling which is embarrassing. There should be a way for me to sue for this continuing problem.

After experiencing the death wobble numerous times I went on line and researched it and the reports stated that this is a regular fault in all the jeeps and is very hard to narrow down the fault and could be a very costly fix.this is a serious problem ,when traveling over 45 to 55 MPH and going over bumps on the highway the car starts to shimmer and shake wobbling from side to side and I have to actually come to a full stop before leveling out and regaining control until the next bump, this can cause a potential accident as following vehicles have no idea of what is causing the sudden braking and could back end you

I have checked with Chrysler and they seemed not aware or try rectify the problem reported from hundreds of jeep vehicle owners. their an extensive site on reports of the Death Wobble.

Your's sincerely

Started getting this terrible shake in the front end of my Jeep the so called DEATH WOBBLE. It only happened to me when I was driving at 80kmh or higher in a straight line and down hills. At first it was only mild but after getting it again a few more times it got so bad thought it was gonna shake the car to bits... anyway got new bushings and new steering damper cost me $450 including labour and it was fixed..going strong still after a year now.

It used to start with this vibration and would just get worse and worse and worse but now the only vibrations are normal. I would recommend to anyone who is experiencing this don't drive it anymore than you need to cause its dangerous and more importantly every time it happens you can add $100 bucks to the final bill cause it fu*ks up more stuff with your car and costs you more in the end. btw my Jeep is raised and has bigger tires than recommended which makes the wobble worse.... and online there's many stories saying it will cost thousands to fix which is a load of bullshit just take it to a suspension specialist who knows jeeps and not your mechanic! at least here in Australia anyway cause not many mechanics work on Jeeps or know what there doing with them so they just say there sh*t and to trade it in on a land cruiser I had to call up a few places till I found someone who knew Jeeps

i have had brakes done, well alignments, ball joints etc and still not fix to the horrible front end DEATH WOBBLE that comes intermitently -always at speeds over 45mph. The front end and steering wheel shakes violently. It has changed my driving habits. I now always drive in the right hand lane of the freeway so that I can brake and pull over to make an emergency stop when this horrible WOBBLE starts. It can be so violent it shakes the steering wheel out of my hands
