This was a no notice failure. I had replaced the battery about a month before with an 800 Cranking amp battery and everything else in the car worked. I would turn the key and it would click but not turn over. I had to have the car towed to the dealer. It took 2 days to get a starter and because I didn't buy the car from them Adams Jeep in Annapolis Md, would not give me a loaner. They wanted to charge me for fault tracing 99 dollars , and the tax on the repair, because they said warranty didn't cover that. I started to call the warranty company right in front of them on my cell and as soon as they saw me doing that they said never mind just pay the deductible. You have to watch these dealers, they will try to rip you off on after market extended warranties, read every word, call the warranty company yourself prior to the repair and find out what they pay as far as fault tracing and taxes.

Picked up replacement starter from checkers. A new one cost around 125 dollars at the time. Took me about 3 hours to replace it in my garage. Not a lot of room to work, but it can be done. just make sure to disconnect your battery.
