Takata recall. The contact owns a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15V046000 (air bags). The dealer scheduled the recall repair appointment as well as for a manufacturer recall for the rear structural enhancement. When the contact arrived to pick up the vehicle, the contact was informed that the oem trailer hitch needed to be ordered and the parts were not available to order the parts to receive the recall repair concerning the air bags. The contact was unable to determine when the vehicle would be repaired. The dealer continued to state that they would follow up with a solution, but the contact received no follow up response from the dealer beyond a reasonable time frame. The manufacturer was notified. The contact had not experienced a failure. Parts distribution disconnect.
