2 recalls have not been taken care of by the manufacturer. I purchased this vehicle 2 years ago and have noticed that the seats do indeed over heat. The airbags haven't deployed thankfully, but I'm not comfortable taking any chances. Do I have to pay a dealer to complete these repairs? Also, since I have had this vehicle, my blinkers and brake lights do not work consistently. They were in operable for almost a month. I had a Mechanix check them, and they said they were dine. Homer's auto shop florence oregon) I didn't drive at night for almost a month. Then my blinkers just started working again. All the fuses are fine, and no other electrical issues. Brake lights started working also. Up until 3 days ago, a driver behind me pulled around next to me at the stop light to tell me the brake light was out. I checked it when I got home and it was fine.

I purchased a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee 11/27/18. On 12/24/18 I stopped at a stop sign where the road was icy. I did not hit anything. When I began driving again I heard a "thunk" noise and the vehicle felt like it was stuck in 4 wheel drive. I pulled over to the side of the road twice, put the vehicle in 4 wheel drive and back into 2 wheel drive but it didn't help. I drove the vehicle to my friends house which was about 2 miles away and parked it. I've sent 2 letters to the dealer because he would not respond to my phone calls. I filed a complaint with BBB. He did not reply to them. I did speak to the owner where I bought the vehicle after the first letter. His wife answered the phone and then I talked to him. He agreed that if I towed the vehicle to his shop I would be refunded the $2400 I paid for it, which I did. I was told by 2 other mechanics it is unsafe to drive. He was not there. I had to leave the vehicle there, I didn't have $ to have it towed again. He has never returned any of my calls. He has my $2400, the Jeep and a vehicle I gave as a trade in.I have copies of the 2 letters I sent him and my correspondence with the BBB. I was completely stopped at a 4-way stop sign. Each time the van in front of me moved forward, I would let off the brake to drift forward a few feet, and then re-engage the brake to stop. When the van that was directly in front of me moved forward to take its turn at the stop sign, I again let off the brake to drift forward & then re-engaged the brake. However, my 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee's engine revved/idled high & it lurched forward. I smashed the brake to the floor, but the Jeep lurched forward a 2nd time. I lifted my foot for a split-second & again pushed the brake pedal as hard as I could, but the Jeep lurched forward a 3rd time & hit the van in front of me. My daughter was in the car with me & felt the Jeep lurching/jumping forward as well. Not to mention, she heard me saying that I couldn't get the Jeep to stop. I am certain I was not pressing the accelerator simultaneously because my foot was firmly/solidly on the brake pedal. If I had been on the gas, I would have hit the van much harder/faster. Now, I will be responsible for paying for the damages done to the van, as well as paying for higher insurance premiums. The truth is, I am not at fault; the Jeep is.

I have a 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited and I am having several issues. First the seat warmer on the driver's side quit working. Then the heat on the passenger side stopped working. Finally, the heat went out all together. I've been doing some research on the internet and it seems that several other Jeep Grand Cherokee owners have this same problem. It seems to be an issue with the blend door. I haven't had it fixed yet because the estimate to fix is was very high.

My 23 month old was rolling up the window on the driver side of the car when her left hand ring finger was caught in the power window, between the window and the weather stripping. The window would not unroll. The power window failed to unroll.her finger was caught inside. We were finally able to pull the weather stripping enough to unroll the window. It nearly severed her finger. Her finger was broken and cut all the way around.

Accelerator stuck as I entered my long driveway. Car crashed into retaining wall at end of driveway. My face hit steering wheel and air bag did not deploy. This occurred on 9-5-03 and I do not yet know repair costs.
