I purchased my 05 Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.7L V6 with 79K miles on it June 21, 2016. In July of 2017, it started to bog down with a constant shutter when starting up and accelerating, the cel was also on. I took it in to have the cel checked out and it was showing 22 codes saying that the O2 sensor had a high voltage circuit. Upon examinng and testing the O2 sensor there was nothing found to be wrong. A couple weeks later the cel came on again, but this time it showed the same O2 sensor was running lean and rich at the same time. I replaced the sensor at that time. Now it is showing another code P0430 and the timing chain for the electronic shift transmission is jumping. I was informed this happens to these transmissions all the time and there is no repair for it. All I can do is drive it until it goes and buy a new transmission. This is not fair

I have owned my vehicle since 2008 at 32,000 miles, the sunroof worked great for a few years then I noticed that the sunroof would close passed the roof line of the Jeep. I did not think of it much because I assumed that the Jeep would have a secondary seal on the inside of the roof line, in between the headliner to keep debris and water out of the inside. This is not the case, it started snowing heavily and the next couple of days the sun melted everything away. I got in my Jeep and realized while I was driving that I had water pouring on my leg and through the map lights in the center. By the time I got to my destination, work, my pants were completely soaked and my center console completely drenched. This being that the sunroof had nothing to keep the melting snow out of the vehicle. Sunroof is made with a faulty cog set that wears away too quickly. Instead of having to spend almost one thousand dollars as I was quoted in 2011 for them to place in a new cog made of the same brittle plastic. I choose to stop my motor from over closing, rendering the sunroof always showing up in scanners as open. However with me concentrating that the sunroof closes correctly I still have leaks in the sunroof. My Jeep has to stay outside, meaning any time it snow, but I'm not driving, I always have to brush the roof off just the ensure I don't have the same issues. My vehicle now just passed 125000 miles. Since the issues I've had over the years, I've pulled up the carpet while cleaning the vehicle only to notice so much rust in the floor pans.. thankfully I had thought to pull the carpet and have taken precautionary measures to ensure that my vehicle does not continue to rust.

Electronic shifter module had gone out. Park reverse neutral in and drive are the only functions available. To downshift from drive fourth, third, second, and first have lost all ability. Primarily the driving of the vehicle is through the streets of san francisco and the ability to downshift is necessary to avoid collision and to climb the steep hills. Not only for myself, but for anybody else with this problem for example: Driving to an exit ramp from speeds of 65 and needing to decelerate to 25 would be very difficult and major where on the brake system. Now for climbing the hills of san francisco in a high gear puts a major stress on the transmission. Please take into consideration that the electronic shifter module should be recalled for safety. This vehicle has already been recalled for an ignition and has been replaced but I received several notices from Jeep starting out as simple and is nicely put his please see your service dealership there is a recall and to the extreme of receiving notices that said your vehicle has a recall and you are putting other peoples lives in danger by neglecting to have it fixed. I have done my homework and the ignition and was told from a dealership that it was not necessary since I only use the key with no keychain. I have also done my homework on the electronic shifter module and there are many people who have made videos or testimonies about their Jeep having the problem of the ability not to downshift through the electronic shifter module. In the past 12 years I pray that there has been no accidents in direct relation to this electronic shifter module but if you're a driver you know that every gear on the vehicle is there for a reason and rely on the safety of the vehicle.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 w/hemi. Took the Jeep to a dealership for repairs for stalling. They detected a leak from the ac unit and a seal that was letting the water enter the transmission they flushed it refilled it. Look that recalls found a recall number E-13 on a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee that stated the same thing cept for if the torque converter is compromised it would be replaced. Call the Chrysler number offered on the website and ask them if there was anything they could do they stated no there was nothing they could do so it's going to be an expense to me because it wasn't stated for the V8 engine it was only stated for the 3.7 liter engine. This is very troubling because if they didn't detect that and the other vehicles then obviously it's going to cause an accident or something to happen when you lose power throughout your vehicle especially when you're on the highway or even a busy road. I stated to them it is word for word and what was wrong with my car and they still. And being on disability at the moment and trying to pay for these repairs and still paying the car off is very difficult. I would like this issue to be resolved by the Chrysler. If they neglected to see any issues in the V8 model that occurred in the 3.7 liter engine model there will probably be lawsuits against them. It is frustrating that this is happening and they can't help a Jeep owner out probably will never bite you again. Let's just hope my engine don't catch on fire either. Being afraid to drive a car is not ok expecially when it's the only car you have and you can't afford to repair or buy a new one cuz you're on disability.

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Seems to be there's electrical issue all the dash lights would turn on turn off happened while I was driving on the freeway and had to come to a stop it stalled out it happened when I started up the car and I turned it off and took it to the shop two different times pretty much the same problem first time it has 68 codes reading off of it so they replace my battery the second time the lights will come on and go off and come on and then it wouldn't even go it was undriveable at that point so we took it to the shop and then a month later it's starting all over again I was driving down the road came to a stop light plied the brakes and then all of the sudden the gauges were going crazy. The idol was moving up and down the lights would come on and go off and it's all the lights not just air bag or anything like that it was all the lights. I read on the internet other people been having the same issue it's scary when somebody is explaining the same thing that's going on in your car. It is unknown at this time what this phantom problem is and it's highly dangerous. I also bought this Jeep used and don't know it this was happening beforehand. *have a video but this site won't upload it.

It is unknown at this time what is causing all these lights to come on when the car is turned on and idling. Looked on the internet quite a few other people had experienced the same problem some still couldn't figure out what it was when they took it to the auto mechanic shops. Was wondering if this was part of a recall. This could cause an accident when you lose power and you're driving down the street. This started happening a couple of days ago.
