: the contact stated in April 2006, the vehicle accelerated on its own nearly causing an accident. The service dealer determined the computer system that runs the transmission was the problem. The computer issue allowed the transmission to leak improperly. Also, in October 2006 the vehicle stalled at 30 mph due to all the electric in the vehicle failing.

It all started with the seats not staying in there settings(driver 1 driver 2. then the auto dimming rear mirrors would go dark at any time. The rain sensor wipers stopped working. The car would accelerate on it own. Even when in park, then the seats started moving to driver 1 then 2 as I was driving it. The Jeep also has a bad odor in it. It is at the dealer as I speak, the Jeep is not safe to drive. Fog light go on and off at any time as I was driving the Jeep to the dealer the Jeep started the speed up on it own the car hit 68 mph in a 45 mph zone, so as you would thing a state trooper pull me over, he ask me why it took me so long to pull over, so I told him the problems with the car, will the look he gave me ! then right in front of him as the car was in park the instrument panel lit up like a xmas tree and the car started to accelerate all by it self, will I did not get a ticket and he follow me to the dealer.

Consumer owned a 2005, Jeep, Grand Cherokee Laredo. The air condition had a part that needed to be replaced on 7-18-05. And later on 7-20-05 the blower fan and heater would only work on the highest setting. A part melted, and there were too many amps being driven to the resister. They had to the replace blower motor, relay, resister, and a wire harness.
