1. Fuel tank started leaking on the top. 2. Middle backseat belt was stuck. It would not pull out. No matter what we tried it just got tighter and tighter, had to cut it. 3. Can't use seat warmer on passenger side because it will burn the person sitting there because the seat tore.

1. Engine over heating problems numerous times and coolant leak. Even after replacement of radiator and hoses. 2. Went to pick up jeep from mechanic due to oil leak, when they brought it around, I noticed pink fluid dripping. Had Transmission serviced in March/April 2020 due to a leak., Flushed system, new filters and fluid. Last few months vehicle says "Transmission over Temp" a few times. Replaced transmission pan, due to a leak, new fluid added, in September 2022. Vehicle indicated "Transmission over Temp" a few weeks later. Didn't drive it a few days, haven't seen the warning sign yet. 3. Numerous oil leaks. Serpitean belt replaced along with other repairs. 4. When I bought vehicle, it had no heat and coolant was leaking in on passenger side floor. 5. Jeep shifts to 3rd gear and won't shift down or back into drive until I turn off vehicle and back on. Very dangerous I was a busy road, US 41 heading north, and had to pull over.

Entering my exit I noticed my 1month old was no longer sound asleep but screaming I turned around noticing she was being approached by smoke arising from the back of the vehicle. As panic set in I immediately tried to come to stop moving off the exit. At the same time clear fluid gushed out of the hood and smoke immediately entered the front of the vehicle making it difficult to come to a stop see or breath. I went blank out of fear or pure confusion as I reached for my infant in the back as quickly as I could at that point she was. No longer crying. I shot out of the vehicle as fast as possible and stayed in a safety spot attempting to shield her from the sun as I watched the jeep ignite and continue to smoke itself out witnesses gathered around one allowing me to sit in her vehicle with my baby until help arrived. NO warning signs once so ever no indication of an over heating vehicle drove perfectly and not frequently it may be inspected at the towing it was taken to as for the safety of my newborn and myself we both could-??ve tragically ended up gone because I was not and would not have thought twice about leaving my daughter in that vehicle. she just got into this world to be taken that fast it wasnt an option. I-??ve been very uneasy since the incident with absolutely anything that functions or is electronic. Continues replay in my head over and over again in detail and nothing new pops up truly a very Traumatic experience and an unexpected loss. appointments I can-??t make it to have had to cancel I do not have family here especially not close by to help me this accident was by far caused by the vehicle because it definitely look like he had a mind of its own suddenly

I just had my Jeep inspected and was told that a manifold bolt was broken and would cause other issues if not fixed. Damage to manifold & gasket, etc.) they also said that this is a common issue with Jeep Chrysler and doge engines.

This model Grand Cherokee has the same problem as the 07-and up. The wireless ignition module fails. I have been stranded 5 times, that's 5 tows- the dealership originally thought I was part of that recall, but had to back track. I was told "it's not broken enough" it is the same exact part as the P57 recall for the 07, so why not for the 05? there are numerous complaints from customers regarding this issue and the dealerships telling us to go away after we spend money on parts that are clearly not the issue.

I am still waiting for Chrysler to preform the P41 recall work on my car. Chrysler was found criminally liable for this switch. The recall has been in place since July 2014. I get notices that the part is not available. So far three notices over the past year saying that they don't have a new switch available. Really"?" it takes one year to design, manufacturer, and Transport an ignition switch, does no one work in detroit. I have had the car not start because of the switch, and when I crank again it starts. I took to dealer for this problem in 2008. I was told that this was normal, the car's computer was re-setting so that I can start. Dealer has gone bankrupt since and closed. I am tired of excuses from Chrysler. When will they do their job and fix this problem. I want this done because my family rides in this car everyday. I am also concerned about the gas tank, because car has been rear-ended three times.

On at least 4 occasions, my Jeep has randomly lost power such that the power steering, accelerator, and brake systems stopped working. Each time it has occurred, it was at a low rate of speed, so the danger of a catastrophic accident was low; however, one time it occurred when I was on a hill and I couldn't stop the Jeep from rolling down hill. I had to coast through a stop sign and only came to rest because of a curb on the opposite side of the street. Luckily, no cars were coming in the opposite direction.

There has been many occasions upwards of 13 or 14 times where my vehicle will not start. My battery has a full charge, I have fuel in the tank it just wont start. The only way around this to get my vehicle to start is to do a hard reset and unhook the battery cable for 30 seconds and hook it back up then and only then will it start. Then it will start the next 15 or so times and then I have the same problem it wont start. Same deal, battery is great, fuel in the tank, just wont start.

The air bags light comes on and stays on, the fuel system light comes on and stays on. When checked by mechanic was told some sort of sensor. The speed control does what it wants it can go from 45mph to 20mph and the vehicle tries to cut itself off I have to immediately put it in neutral to prevent that from happening.

While driving down the road, the RPM started floating and the Jeep started hesitating like it was out of gas. It was happening every once in awhile, now it's constantly and it's getting horrible gas mileage. Here recently, the interior lights on the ac/heat part have went out and the time part on the radio started lighting up like a heater and is extremely hot but the radio still plays.

I went to get a new inspection sticker & received a rejection sticker it read "the obd fuel system monitor was disabled when an associated configuration register was inadvertently cleared prior to release." Date of owner notification was November 18, 2005. I purchased this vehicle in 2013 and I have been having an emissions problem starting 4-5 months after I purchased it. I'm still having the problem today, and dealer refused to fix the problem.
