Grand Cherokee Overland V8 Hemi

  • Automatic transmission

This warning comes on then goes away. Jeep is (or should be) aware of the issue. Since this problem is across the board, Jeep should repair the problem for free.

Grand Cherokee Limited 4.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 83,779 miles

It all started with my windows wouldn't close correctly. (I would roll them up then they will roll half way down by themselves) Then we got the Recall for the "REPROGRAM FINAL CONTROL MODULE"! I figured, Oh, Chrysler was manning up to repair a defect. I thought all the problems were over. The light start bouncing around. (lights started to flicker) Now it starts reading my "Transmission is Over Temp"! Mind you, I purchased the Jeep so my girlfriend and my kids have a bigger.(traded a 1998 2 door Ford Explore) Looks can be deceiving.

My girlfriend noticed it only starts acting up when I drive! I thought she was talking S%#^ but the next day. I just tapped the key and the Jeep stalled on me. Then it came to me "Don't adjust the steering wheel. (tilt the steering wheel) What do you know, it have been 4 1/2 months and NO Lights Flickering and Tranny Over Temp!!!! I looked up what the Ignition Switch controlled, and what do you know. The Windows, Lights and the Transmission. It is 8/8/15, I have until 9/15 for it can get fix from the Dealer in Signal Hill. I will let everyone know how it turns out when they fix it.

Grand Cherokee 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 155,600 miles

I purchased this 06 Jeep Overland approx 1.5 months ago and I love it, this is my 3rd Jeep already. I was driving on the highway normal speed limit 65mph. Vehicle seemed to be running sluggish and when I parked a dash light indicator stating "Transmission Temp Overheat Warning" and I heard the electrical fan in operation. I SEARCHED everywhere to see if there is a recall pertaining to this issue. THANK YOU ALL FOR ANY HELP, GUIDANCE, RECOMMENDATIONS DAVE from good ol' Rhode Island. Email me "Lorinced@Yahoo.com" with subject "Jeep Temp" so I know it's not some BS scam email. Thanks again. Cheers !! If there is a transmission recall what would 6 the changes of them actually fixing it. Thanks again ! Dave

Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 107,653 miles

My "Transmission over temp" warning light comes on and cooling fan run at high" every now and then, I took it to the jeep dealer for repair, they replaced a temp sensor, but it is still happening, they had the car for a week and could not replicate the problem, so still not fixed. I heard it could be gear shift assembly, trans cooler return filter, re-flash or replace PCM, I have extended warrenty but these guys don't want to spend $ to find an answer.
