While driving on the highway the entire car suddenly shut off, on three separate occasions. All the lights lit up on the dashboard then the car would not accelerate. I turned it off when I reached the shoulder, waited about a minute then turned the car on again. I am grateful my daughter and I are still alive. I've had it in the repair shop for a month. They replaced the brake system and dealt with grounding issues but, they cannot figure out why it keeps happening. This is a very serious issue and I see that others have complained about it. Yes, the car is old and has over 175,000 miles on it but I see that this is a common problem so it should be addressed.

Car is currently parked: I own a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado which Jeep claims has no recalls yet there (3) all of which are happening to my vehicle. NHTSA 07V434000, 13V175000 and 14V438000. My car is very well maintained I have reached out to Jeep and claim my truck was not recalled yet my TRUCK is listed as having (6) recalls all of which are issues the truck is currently having. I have computer codes to prove it. I understand my truck have 150,000 miles and is 16 almost 17 years old however it was bought as an investment that Jeep seems to selectively correct issues only when they are threatened to be sued. This is totally ridiculous. There are multiple complaints from other owners. These things should have been recalled years ago. My vehicle has never been modified and we should not have to be responsible for recalls that are selectively being fixed when there are over 6000 complaints. Thank you

When you put it into neutral it will restart as if nothing ever happened. I have had my Jeep inspected and there are no codes or anything to find specifically. The other issue I am having is that when I am driving at highway speeds the dash lights, air, and radio go out and flicker. You can't see your speed and the gauges go bizerk. I did some research and found many testimonials which I have attached to this complaint of people having the same issue. One women was even going through an intersection making a left hand turn and hers died and she lost steering and ended up going into oncoming traffic. This is not ok people! we need to hold Chrysler/Dodge accountable for the building of the car. Insurance companies need to know about this. And most.... a class action lawsuit needs to be filed if there already hasn't been. You don't just make vehicles and when it has problems to this extent continue allowing people with families to drive your vehicles with no pinpoint issue available to fix. Families are spending thousands of dollars replacing what "could" be wrong and still not fixing the issue or getting any help from the people who built the issue. Everywhere I look and everyone I contact say these issues could be a number of things but yet Chrysler has failed to have a system that spits out codes directly pointing out the issue in turn creating a greater safety issue on the roads. Who knows, maybe the next Jeep that dies will take out someone you love.

ABS eas and traction controll warning lights on again with service 4WD system message after completing 1st recall, vehicle was just started and put in to drive acceleration to 12 mph causes bad grinding noise and loss of power just about enough to get you in to the middle of an intersection very dangerous then it seems to catch and regains power the warning lights stay on and you can drive it all day with no issues but as soon as you turn it off and back on it will do it again.

Going down city street, loud popping sound, then short grinding sound. Sounded like back right rear tire. Takata recall: I was in an accident with my 2006 Grand Cherokee. The accident was due to the ignition switch and the vehicle powering down while in drive, or in use. Injuries were suffered due to the airbag's none deployment. After taking the vehicle to the dealer and attempting to have two recalls replaced, I was told there presently was no available fix, or replacement for recall P41. The vehicle was serviced in 2015 at fitzpatrick's Chrysler Jeep (430 E main street, ansonia, ct 06401 (203) 734-3318) for recalls P41(ignition switch) & N23(powertrain transfer case electrical system). In January of 2012 with 37K on the vehicle there was the first of two accidents that relate to recall P41. This accident was due to unresponsive braking and steering, which was caused by the ignition switch moving from the on position to the off position while the vehicle was in drive, or in use. This accident happened when attempting to stop the vehicle (rte. 80 East haven, ct) I noticed the vehicle was unresponsive. I used both feet and hands to apply the breaks, while simultaneously wrapping both hands around the lower half of the steering wheel and pulling upward with my biceps to apply additional downward momentum to the break pedal, but still I could not stop the vehicle. Injuries were sustained and out pocket costs for this accident total over $7000 dollars. The second accident happened in 2016. Not realizing the vehicle was off while attempting to bring the vehicle to a full stop on the highway (rte.15 no haven, ct.), I had a collision. The force of the impact slammed my face into the steering wheel. I was dazed and confused, wondering, why hadn't the airbags deployed. This is the second incident I've had with this vehicle that was directly related to the ignition switch. And, in both accidents airbags were never deployed. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure if the windows stop working or not but its been happening a few times and it seems like its going to need a tow truck but when I pull over off the highway and turn it off and restart it resets its self my Jeep only has 78,000 miles on it because it was sitting in storage for 6 years while I was out of the states so it did not get driven and the dealership took it and changed all belts fluids and gave it a checkup before I drove it again
