Rear middle seat belt continually retracts too far and is inoperable - the system is interlocked with the airbag system making it difficult to repair safely. Seat is not usable and is unsafe. This also the only seat belt that can be used for child-safety seats.

If the keys in the ignition shake just slightly, all lights on dash flicker on/off, engine cuts out and comes back on. I've had a problem with this since I bought the vehicle in 12/08 and still happens. I can only have 1 car key in ignition so nothing happens but still does every so often.

Re: safety recall M35/NHTSA 12V-527 I received the aforementioned recall notice 3 months ago. I have called the key West dealership 3 times to arrange to get the problem fixed only to be told that Chrysler was still trying to resolve the technical issue. Today I called the marion, nc dealer and was told that Chrysler would only allow them to fix one per week and that they had 6 ahead of me. Meantime I am driving a my Jeep vehicle with the service airbag icon lit up. I can't wait 6-8 weeks to get this repair done. I am concerned the driver air bag might deploy unexpectedly and cause an accident. Please help me. Thank you.

Pulling away from stop sign my vehicle lost power (stalled out). The lights for park, reverse, neutral, and drive all came on at one time. Lost power for about 15 seconds then car starting moving again. This has happened a few times not just the one date listed here. This was the only time I was actually pulling out into traffic. Could have caused a major wreck. Sometimes it does it while driving down road and I have to pull over to turn car off. When I start it back again it runs fine for a while. Ever since this has been happening my airbag light and engine light have been coming on and off all the time. About a year ago, I had to have a speed sensor changed on the transmission cause the car would not shift through gears cost me around $800 because it had to be taken to a transmission service center. Are these problems all related? bought this car from a private seller (one owner) well taken care of. All maintenance was up to date when I purchased the car about 1 1\2 years ago. Is there any recalls on any of the problems I listed here?

2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee - seat & airbag deployment sensors - check engine light came on, and took vehicle to dealer for inspection. Dealer stated that seat sensor tied to airbag deployment velocity was malfunctioning ($300 to replace). Dealer re-checked next day and found all 4 sensors malfunctioning (when 150# man sits in seat, sensors read 250# man). Now all 4 sensors need to be replaced ($1000) and fasten seatbelt light/bell sound endlessly. Dealer won't replace (out of warranty), neither will Jeep.
