So July 30th, 2018 brought vehicle into dealer for horn randomly sounding and difficult to stop. Service replaced the clock spring to solve the issue. Picked up the vehicle on Aug 7th after spending 1200 dollars for the fix. About a week and a half later in the middle of the night the horn started blasting again. So we took it back to the service center, they are so busy it took about a week to just get it into the shop, and the tech reported that the diagnostic is now showing that the power distribution center needs to be replaced and it will cost another 1200 dollars installed. This got me a little upset because now I'm thinking to myself they were just throwing parts at the first attempt to fix this problem which was quite expensive, that's just how I felt I'm not a tech. So without much of a choice here I approved the repair and the Power Distribution center was ordered. So another week passed by and I had to call to find out what was going on and was told that the part is on order and was promised a phone call back within the hour on the status of the part. Now by the next day and not getting a call back I went to the service dept. and spoke to the service manager who looked into the matter and came back to tell me the part is not available anywhere in the USA and there is nothing they can do until a part becomes available. So low and behold 1200 dollars later I'm left with my 2007 Grand Cherokee with a supposedly faulty Power Distribution Center, a disabled horn and a feeling of not knowing what other issues this faulty part may cause. The question comes to mind did they have to replace so many of these parts that there isn't one to be found in the entire country?
